Do You Believe In Miracles?

Be encouraged today! It's not too often I have a chance to write an article about a family member. Therefore this is really exciting for me! I would now like to introduce you to a man that had all the questions answered as well as received (all at the same time) that I noted in the previous paragraph. This is a personal account written by me; as I tell you a story... about how my husband Duane Lopez was touched and healed by 'Almighty God' on March 5th, 2011. ~ The Story ~ June of 2010 my husband suffered a knee injury at work that would end up with surgery being his only option. He spent several weeks of intense physical therapy hoping he could strengthen the knee and the surgery wouldn't be necessary after all. To spite all his efforts he had the surgery in September of 2010, and thankfully it was successful. His place of employment was very gracious with time off to heal and he returned to work a few days later. The knee continued to improve, but he still dealt with some discomfort at times; so he agreed to get an injection for added comfort. Duane hated the idea of having to take a pill of any kind to make him feel better. It's difficult to just get him to take a vitamin! The injection did the trick! Other than the appearance of a small scar, it was almost as if he had never had the injury at all. He continued doing anything he wanted to do, and there were literally no problems at all concerning his knee. Then... on March 3, 2011 he lifted a tire at work and his knee went out completely! No rhyme or reason why this should have happened. He grabbed his knee as all he felt was excruciating pain! He managed to get through the remainder of the work day and left for home. It was extremely difficult to drive because he has a clutch. Once at home he propped it up and placed ice packs around the knee and tried anything he could think of to simply get through the night. His surgeon was out of town and he was told to just go to an emergency room if he got worse. He's somewhat of a "very stubborn-headed-man" and just dealt with it. He simply told the Lord, "I just can't have this... I have to work and I cannot be laid up again because of this knee"! That was it... he prayed a simple prayer and went on about his business. It was obvious he could hardly walk the next morning- but went to work anyway. ~ Finally Friday! ~ He figured he could just rest his knee over the weekend and all would be fine on Monday morning... Not! I couldn't see how even a couple of days 'completely' off his feet would make any difference. It was obvious that (this time) something had gone terribly wrong inside his knee. He hobbled around, couldn't walk without limping and the pain was really driving him mad! He finally just went to bed. The following morning he got a phone call from his daughter. She began to tell him that she had had a very uneasy night. Her husband was out of town and after she went to bed she began hearing eerie noises coming from the closet and just very suspicious, unusual sounds occurring inside the house. Her three year old son and his cousin were asleep and she began to look around but couldn't find anything wrong. Needless to say... she didn't get much sleep (if any) and thought maybe she was just imaging things. She was not the type to spook easily. Nevertheless, she could use dad's help. She ask' her dad if he could go to her house and pray over it? She knew she would feel better as she'd always had a lot of faith that God would honor her obedience concerning her faith; and that "HE" would take care of her and her household. She also had a lot of faith that her dad was a tremendous believer in God and his faith alone had seen her through some 'scary' times (boogieman) as a child. Right then she just needed her dad to make everything okay again. Of course he was happy to oblige her in any way he could. As he headed over to her house, her Mother-In-Law stopped by, and she being a Christian herself and a great believer in prayer; agreed to pray with them. Once he arrived at her house the three of them walked through each room and anointed different areas and objects with olive oil. The bible tells us that Jesus told his disciples to go and pray for others and anoint them with oil that they might recover. He was describing an act of faith in order for the sick to be healed. In any case, olive oil has been used for all areas concerning prayer, one being deliverance/evil being removed. That is all that took place that day. Mr. Lopez was not prayed for (that he knew of) that day. There was not any laying on of hands or a bolt of lightning seen or felt from above. He simply went to pray at the request of his daughter. It was an act of love and just simply being obedient to the 'will' and the 'word' of God that resulted in 'him' receiving a blessing that day. A blessing in the form of a healed knee. He stated that he never even thought about his knee during the course of anointing her house. After they prayed and everything seemed peaceful he left for home. As he was walking to his truck he noticed he wasn't limping. He could bend his leg and there was absolutely no pain! At first he didn't think much about it, but as he walked through the mall doing some shopping on his way home he really started to notice something was 'really' different! He met up with his son later and told him... "Look at this! I can straighten my leg out and I have no pain at all"!!!! He remains pain free and has absolutely no problem with his knee. He doesn't even need to keep his doctors appointment scheduled for March 16th. You might say I was just "WOWED" by what happened to him. I believe in healing 100%... and when somehow has an opportunity to actually experience and see the results... it's just astonishing! All I can say is... 'Thank You Jesus' for healing my husband's knee and Your perfect timing for everything! Duane only did what he felt was necessary in order to calm his daughter's nerves. He knew all he had to do was pray over her house and any unclean spirit would have to flee; according the word of God. The word of God also states that we should pray for others that 'WE' may be healed. ~ Isn't God just amazing? ~
